The draw for Eurosport Luxembourg 1 in March 2015 took place last weekend. There are some changes in the format of the competition in 2015 to make the competitive side of the event without clear winners until the last rounds. This means that all teams regardless of their initial results/games in the group stages will have the possibility to reach top positions in the table.

In Volleyball and Basketball we will have two groups with 3 teams and two with four teams, teams that finish bottom of the table in their groups can still qualify for a semi-finals or even a final if they win all their other games. Team will be awarded 3 points if they win for more than 3 points difference and 2 points if they win for less than 2points difference. Losing teams win 1 point if the difference between both teams is less than 2 points. Both Basketball and Volleyball will take place at D´Coque, the National indoor sports center in Luxembourg.

Table tennis: three mixed double teams will represent ESC in round robin format, all teams play all. Each of the ESC double teams will play one double team from all the other European Schools. Each match is played up to 11 points, 5 sets and for each set won =1point. This event will also take place at D´Coque.

Aquathlon: This new denomination replaces biathlon. The competition is a relay 50m swimming and 1000 running  event and 20 students ordered from 1 to 20 starting with a girl on odd numbers. The swimming event will take place in the Olympic pool at the D´Coque in Luxembourg, only 1 heat and 14 lanes for all ES teams. The running event will take place at the indoor 200m track at D´Coque and all teams will start running at the same time but from from 14 different points/Boxes around the track numbered 1 – 14.

Eurosport is an unique event within the European Schools and surely by having all sports taking in the same sports arena will create a great atmosphere for all participants.
